He graduated from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and Emory University.

He joined SXH's Digital Unit, now Zumera, in 2021 after gaining experience in small-cap investment banking. He worked as a senior analyst and was involved in the execution of several M&A transactions. Prior to that, Jannis gained experience in BDO's tax department. He studied at the University of Münster and Bocconi University.
