During this time, the company has gained extensive experience in the areas of internationalisation and innovative technologies. With more than 16,000 employees, Aalberts is active in around 70 business and 80 service locations in over 50 countries and offers products in the fields of installation technology, materials technology, air-conditioning technology and industrial technology. In the past, Aalberts has already established various partnerships in German-speaking countries, building up a deep understanding of the German Mittelstand.

The UWS Group, consisting of UWS Technologie GmbH and Heat-Power 24 GmbH, has established itself in recent years as an innovation driver in the high-growth market of heating water treatment and, with over 90 employees, is the motor of the Bavarian Mittelstand. The group's products are developed and manufactured in Insingen and play an important role in the sustainability of energy-efficient buildings. After years of growth, during which the companies benefited from the innovative power built up by the long-standing shareholder Hans-Georg Breitmoser, the UWS Group has established a clear position as market leader. The goal of the management team was therefore to find a suitable partner with whom the group of companies is optimally positioned for the next step in its development. Steffen Breitmoser and Rüdiger Bleyl will continue to be jointly in charge of the group.

Zumera's sector-experienced deal team, led by Managing Director Felix Engelhardt, was able to quickly identify the right partner for this transaction due to its extensive sector expertise in heating technology, crafts, and industrial engineering, which is underpinned by numerous past transactions in these areas. This excellent fit between the two companies not only meant that the transaction was successfully completed in just five months, but also that Steffen Breitmoser and Rüdiger Bleyl will remain with the group as managing directors. In addition, long-standing shareholder Hans-Georg Breitmoser will continue to support the UWS Group in the future from an external advisory role with ideas and concepts in order to further expand its innovation leadership.

, has been leading an interdisciplinary team since 2020, with whom he was responsible for the growth of business and internationalisation at Saxenhammer and is continuing the path to become Europe’s Nr.1 M&A firm under the new brand. Prior to that, he led the M&A advisory business of an SME-focused boutique and gained several years of experience in the transaction departments (IBD) of Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and UBS, where he spent around three years each in Frankfurt and London. He completed his academic career with a Master of Finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, is a CFA Charterholder and a regular guest lecturer at renowned universities, such as Maastricht and Mannheim and the Frankfurt School of Finance. Before his studies, he realised a successful exit as a managing partner of a digital agency.

Felix grew up in Berlin as the son of a tax consultant and auditor and a judge. His youth was shaped by team sports (field hockey) and a strong affinity for competition, business and law. During his school years in England, Felix was significantly influenced by an accounting teacher, whereupon he decided to immerse himself in the world of business and finance. After working in London, Madrid and Frankfurt, he returned to Berlin in 2017, where he now lives with his wife and fourteen-year-old daughter.

Today, Felix Engelhardt is one of the leading experts and "influencers" in the German-speaking financial sector in the area of corporate finance and M&A, which is reflected in +24,000 followers on LinkedIn and numerous key-notes at industry summits and major fairs.

Philipp Köppe is Senior Vice President at Zumera and part of the Management Team. Philipp is responsible for large parts of Zumera´s client-facing operations. He plays an integral part in the cultivation of new- and the development of existing client relationships. His focus lies on the negotiation and execution of M&A transactions. Before joining SXH´s Digital Unit, now Zumera, in 2021, Philipp was Senior Analyst at Carl Finance GmbH. During this time, he contributed to the acquisition of dozens of buy and sell side mandates allowing him to gain expert-level knowledge in sales-driven M&A processes. The number of private healthcare providers is increasing, while the number of hospitals overall is decreasing. Larger providers emerge to leverage economies of scale.  

Privatisation and consolidation

The construction industry is a clear growth market and a decisive economic factor for Germany. In 2021, the sector made up 5.9% of the overall economy, with companies in the construction industry achieving a turnover of around 192 billion euros. The sector includes the main construction trade with 75,000 as well as the finishing trade with a total of around 250,000 companies, which show annual growth rates of 4.9%.
