M&A advisor Felix Engelhardt joined Saxenhammer this week as Managing Director of the new Digital Unit. Engelhardt joins from Berlin-based fintech platform Carl, where he spent the past three years building and leading the M&A advisory business.

Corporate finance house Saxenhammer is bringing in M&A advisor Felix Engelhardt, who will not only land deals. His main task is to digitize Saxenhammer's M&A advisory process.

Felix Engelhardt, CEO and founder of ZUMERA

, has been leading an interdisciplinary team since 2020, with whom he was responsible for the growth of business and internationalisation at Saxenhammer and is continuing the path to become Europe’s Nr.1 M&A firm under the new brand. Prior to that, he led the M&A advisory business of an SME-focused boutique and gained several years of experience in the transaction departments (IBD) of Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and UBS, where he spent around three years each in Frankfurt and London. He completed his academic career with a Master of Finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, is a CFA Charterholder and a regular guest lecturer at renowned universities, such as Maastricht and Mannheim and the Frankfurt School of Finance. Before his studies, he realised a successful exit as a managing partner of a digital agency.

Felix grew up in Berlin as the son of a tax consultant and auditor and a judge. His youth was shaped by team sports (field hockey) and a strong affinity for competition, business and law. During his school years in England, Felix was significantly influenced by an accounting teacher, whereupon he decided to immerse himself in the world of business and finance. After working in London, Madrid and Frankfurt, he returned to Berlin in 2017, where he now lives with his wife and fourteen-year-old daughter.

Today, Felix Engelhardt is one of the leading experts and "influencers" in the German-speaking financial sector in the area of corporate finance and M&A, which is reflected in +24,000 followers on LinkedIn and numerous key-notes at industry summits and major fairs.

Marian is responsible for the sectors Marketing & Media and the marketing efforts of Zumera. Prior to that, he was Head of the Marketing at Carl Finance GmbH, where he acted as part of the management team and lead for the Marketing department. He built up the Marketing team from zero and acted as the driving force of the firm’s growth strategy and execution. Further, he initiated the acquisition of over 50 Sell Side M&A mandates. Earlier in his career, he gained experience as part of KPMG’s management consultancy and from media consulting projects at a Swiss advisory boutique. In the digital growth team at the Google EMEA headquarter he advised C-level clients in their marketing and digital strategy. Further, he gained international experience at various stations in South Africa, Brazil, Ireland and Portugal.

He graduated from Vienna University of Economics and Business and Nova School of Business and Economics with a CEMS Master in International Management. He has been guest lecturer of Master’s programs at University of Mannheim.

COO & Founder

Philipp Köppe is Senior Vice President at Zumera and part of the Management Team. Philipp is responsible for large parts of Zumera´s client-facing operations. He plays an integral part in the cultivation of new- and the development of existing client relationships. His focus lies on the negotiation and execution of M&A transactions. Before joining SXH´s Digital Unit, now Zumera, in 2021, Philipp was Senior Analyst at Carl Finance GmbH. During this time, he contributed to the acquisition of dozens of buy and sell side mandates allowing him to gain expert-level knowledge in sales-driven M&A processes. Relatedly, he instructed and mentored over 30 bankers in sales, M&A, and company valuation. Earlier in his career, Philipp accumulated valuable experience as Consulting Manager at any.b Consulting. He graduated from European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder).
