Recently formed M&A consulting firm Zumera, spun out of the Saxenhammer group, has appointed Marian Gerster as a Managing Director to fill the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, Gerster will oversee the areas of strategy, marketing, research, and expansion, and act as the operational interface between the board and heads of the respective functions, thus ensuring the scalability of the tech-enabled M&A house.

Zumera places a high emphasis on operational excellence in all processes of the company to ensure the highest possible quality for its clients at all times. With regard to the strategy, Gerster will be responsible for the international business, particularly in the initiation and ramp-up phase. He recently led the leasing of an office in London's St. James's Square, which laid the foundation for expansion into the UK.

Gerster is a longtime associate of CEO Felix Engelhardt and is a renowned M&A expert in the media, technology, and agency sectors. In his previous roles at Saxenhammer and Carl Finance, he was the driving force behind each company's growth strategy and initiated the acquisition of over 50 successfully completed sell-side M&A mandates. Prior to his time at Carl Finance, he gained international experience at various locations in South Africa, Brazil, Ireland, and Portugal. He gained insights into each sector and target audience at notable places such as Google and utilized his expertise to develop the initial transformation strategy in the M&A industry. He is also the initiator of the first online company valuation calculator and has developed it over the years into a precise digital valuation tool for entrepreneurs.
